Getting Into and Out of the Wheelchair

The B600 power wheelchair has been designed as a modular system.
The armrests and footrests can be removed easily and thus allow easy access for
transfer from the side or from the front.
9.1

From the Side

Move the B600 power wheelchair as close as possible to the seat.
For this purpose, remove the armrests on the side where the user will get into the
wheelchair (fig. 11) and also remove the footrest if necessary.
Now the user can slide onto the seat.
Use of a transfer board will make transfer easier.
The lighting installation can be swung down for transfer.
9.2

From the Front

After flipping up the two footplates, the user can get into and out of the wheelchair
from the front (fig. 12).
The space for getting into/out of the wheelchair can be increased by swinging the
footrests to the side (fig. 13).
The footrests can also be removed completely.
With the assistance of an attendant or by means of a transfer lifter, the user can get
into or out of the wheelchair from the front. Use of a rotation plate is also possible.
