Danger can arise when connecting appliances
to each other or to parts of systems (eg
through leakage currents)
Only connect appliances together when there

can be no danger to the operator or to the
patient
Only connect appliances when there can be

no environmental impairment through such in-
terconnection
If it is not clear from the appliance data sheets

that such connections can be safely made or
if you are in any doubt, always get a suitably
qualified person (eg the manufacturer) to ver-
ify that the setup is safe
When connecting the unit to other devices,

eg a PC system,comply with the require-
ments set out in section16 of IEC60601-1
(EN60601-1)
When setting up the PC system in the vicinity

of the patient:
Only connect components (eg computer,
monitor, printer) that comply with the standard
IEC60601-1 (EN60601-1)
When setting up the PC system outside of the
i
vicinity of the patient:
Connect components (eg computer,
monitor, printer) that comply at least with the
IEC60950-1 (EN60950-1) standard
Layout as 1/N/PE AC 200–240 V (EU)
Connect the wires of the mains connection

7.6 Limiting the height adjustment
The height of the unit can be variably adjusted
to match the height of the patient The maxi-
mum height can be limited
To ensure that the unit can be opened for ser-
vicing, we recommend keeping a minimum dis-
tance of 30cm between the fully extended unit
and the ceiling
Move the unit to the lower height level of the
i
unit
Check for correct alignment when fasten-
ing the adjustment cam The beveled
side must face downwards
