7 .3 Issues

Issues
The depth of the gullets on the left and
right cutters are unevenly sharpened .
The lengths of the right and left cutters
are not the same .
One of the troubleshooting indicator
LEDs on the control panel is lit up .
The chain is not fixed during
sharpening .
The wrong cutter is sharpened .
The top-plate angles are not the same
(e .g . 35° in one direction and 25° in the
other) when the grinding head turns in
the 2 different directions .
The grinding head "falls" without slowing
down before it touches the cutter .
An incorrect number of cutting links are
sharpened (too many or too few) .
The cutters are not correctly
sharpened .
The top-plate angle is too aggressive .
The metal of a cutter turns blue during
grinding, which is an indication of
damaged or weakened metal .
The sensor does not function and the
error indicator LED lights up .
The machine stops and the error
indicator LED lights up .
Possible cause
The grinding wheel is not centered
between the cutters .
The equal cutting teeth knob is
incorrectly set .
There is an issue with one of the
motors . An alarm is triggered and
must be corrected .
The chain vise is loose .
The air pressure is too low .
The sensor is not correctly
centered .
The M6 nuts needs to be adjusted .
The wire is worn and needs to be
adjusted .
An incorrect number of cutting links
was set on the counter .
The counter was not reset before
the machine was operated .
Incorrect settings are used .
The top-plate angle setting is
incorrect .
The grinding speed is set too high
and the metal is overheated .
The fingers in the sensor are stuck .
The chain has double tie straps or a
cutter is broken .

Check and adjust the air pressure .

Replace the damaged cutter or discard the
chain . Lower the speed on the grinding
speed knob, see section 3 .6 .2, "Grinding
speed knob" .
Carefully clean the fingers with
compressed air to loosen them . They
should run smoothly in and out of the
sensor . The indicator LED should turn off
when the finger is pushed in and light up
when the finger is released .
