The antenna sw itc h can be a c tu a te d

If th e antenna sw itc h is e n ga ge d in
the u p p e r p o s itio n , th e antenna
e x te n d s fully.
Note:
For m o s t c o n d itio n s th e antenna
sh o u ld no rm ally be in th is p o s i­
tion.
If th e antenna s w itc h is in th e c e n ­
te r p o s itio n , th e antenna e x te n d s
au to m a tica lly to m ed iu m height,
if th e antenna sw itc h is e n ga ge d in
the lo w e r p o s itio n , th e antenna will
n o t e x te n d o r w ill re tra c t c o m ­
pletely.
The h e ig h t o f the antenna can be
ad ju s te d to any in te rm e d ia te po sitio n
by a c tu a tin g th e antenna s w itc h :
If th e antenna sw itc h is in the c e n ­
te r p o s itio n , th e antenna will
e x te n d to m edium height. The
antenna can be fu rth e r e xte n d e d
or re tra c te d to any he ig ht by ro c k ­
ing th e s w itc h (n o t e n ga gin g it).
If th e antenna is to be re tra cte d ,
e.g. g o in g th ro u g h car w ash, etc.,
en gage s w itc h in lo w e r p o sitio n .
W hen th e key is tu rn e d to ste e rin g
lo c k p o s itio n 0 o r th e radio is tu rn e d
off, th e antenna w ill re tra c t c o m ­
pletely.
