c o rre c tly only w hen th e ta ilg a te is
closed.
To clo se the tailgate, p re s s th e grip
do w n until th e ta ilg a te latch engages.
Do n o t slam the tailga te clo se d , an
e le c tric p o w e r-a s s is te d m echanism
w ill latch th e tailga te q u ie tly and a u to ­
m atically. W hen the e le c tric p o w e r-
a ssiste d m ech an ism has s to p p e d , the
tailga te can be reo pe ned .
W arning!
To prevent possible personal
injury, alw ays keep hands and fin­
gers aw ay from th e ta ilg a te o p e n ­
ing when closing the ta ilg a te . The
ele ctric p o w er-as sisted m ech an ­
ism cannot be interru p ted once it
has been engaged.
