A nti-Theft Alarm System
The a n ti-th e ft alarm can be arm e d o r
disarm ed w ith the m a ste r key, valet
key o r fla t key by lo ckin g o r u n lo ckin g
e ith e r fro n t d o o r o r th e tailgate.
O pe ra tion
O nce the alarm syste m has been
arm ed, the e x te rio r v e h icle lam ps w ill
flash and th e horn w ill so u n d in te rm it­
te n tly w hen som e on e:
• op en s a d o o r
• op en s the tailga te
• op en s the hood
• rem o ves the radio
• s w itc h e s on o r b rid g e s th e ig n i­
tio n c irc u it
• s te p s on th e brake pedal.
The alarm w ill last a p p ro xim a te ly
150 s e c o n d s in th e fo rm o f b lin kin g
e x te rio r lam ps. A t th e sam e tim e an
a d ditiona l h o rn w ill s o u n d in te rm it­
te n tly fo r 60 s e co n d s, pause fo r
30 s e co n d s, and re p e a t fo r a n o th e r
60 se co n d s.
The alarm w ill stay on even if th e a c ti­
vatin g e le m e n t (a d o o r, fo r exam ple)
is im m e d ia te ly clo se d .

If th e rad io is rem o ved fro m its
m o u n tin g w h en th e a n ti-th e ft alarm is
arm ed th e rad io w ill a u to m a tica lly be
re n d e re d in o p e ra tive ! (This is in d i­
ca te d by a da sh e d line a cro ss th e d is ­
play.)
D o n o t give th e m a s te r key to an
u n a u th o rize d pe rson . W e reco m m e n d
th a t y ou ca rry th e fla t key safely w ith
you s o th a t it is always handy. This
key has th e sam e fu n c tio n as the
m a ste r key.
