Servicing After Initial 50 Hours of Operation
1. Change the engine's lubrication oil and oil
fi~er.
2. Replace the fuel filter element in the engine-mounted secondary fuel
fi~er.
Change the fuel
filter element and clean the
fi~er/water
sedimentor,
n
a separator has been installed, and
n
the model type permhs cleaning.
*3. Torque the cylinder head hold down bolts.
*4. Adjust valve clearances.
5. Adjust the water pump drive be~ tension,
n
required.
6. Check electrical connections at the generator. Ensure they are tight and not subject to
chaffe.
7. Adjust the engine's no-load speed,
n
required (hertz) and make any
vo~age
regulator
adjustments that maybe needed. Please note that these adjustments are not warrantable
adjustments during or after the generator's break-in.
Servicing After Every 100 Hours of Operation
1. Change the engine's lubrication oil and oil filter.
2. Adjust the water pump drive be~ tension,

required.
Servicing After Every 250 Hours of Operation
1. Replace the fuel filter element in the engine-mounted secondary fuel filter.
Servicing After Every 500 Hours of Operation
*1. Torque the cylinder head bolts.
*2. Adjust the valve clearances.
3. Drain, flush, and refill the fresh water cooling system. A block drain plug is found on the
right side of the engine block adjustment to the backplate. Drain pet cocks are located
on the lower side of the heat exchanger.
*4. Check the condition of the starter motor drive pinion; lubricate the pinion.
