Calibration of the Relative Humidity Probe (HD206-2 and HD226-2 only)
In the HD206-2 and HD226-2 minidatalogger models, operating with a combined external probe, the
user can calibrate the humidity probe. To carry out this operation, you need DeltaLog2 program that
guides the user step-by-step.
To calibrate the probes properly, it is important to know and respect the laws of physics that are at
the basis of measurement: for this reason it is strongly suggested to follow scrupulously the follow-
ing indications and to carry out new calibrations only if you are familiar with a proper technical
knowledge.
Before starting the calibration procedure, you should check, with the help of 33%RH and 75.4%RH
saturated solutions if the calibration is needed: the probe has to be newly calibrated only if a meas-
urement error at one of these two points is detected.
This calibration procedure deletes previous calibration data. To calibrate the probe properly, the
first point has to be at 75%RH and the second one at 33%RH..
To carry out an accurate calibration, it is very important that the probe and saturated solutions be at
the same temperature and that this is as stable as possible for the whole calibration.
The whole calibration procedure is protected by the program password (Lock Program) and by a sec-
ond password specific for this function, required when starting the procedure: while the first one can
be changed by the user, the second one is fixed and can't be modified..
Calibration Sequence:
1. Switch the minidatalogger on, connect the temperature/humidity combined probe to the external
connector.
2. Open the minidatalogger rear side by unscrewing the four screws on the rear cover.
3. Connect the HD206/54 serial cable to the internal connector as explained at paragraph "When
has the internal connector to be used" in the "Connecting to a PC" chapter at page 21.
4. Start DeltaLog2 program and press the "Connect" key to connect the instrument.
