Connecting the IPC to the company network and the Internet

Note
When carrying out any work, carefully observe the five safety rules (Page 8).
1. Locate where the IPC is installed. The IPC is generally in the closed-loop control section. More
information is provided in the converter layout diagram.
2. Open the closed-loop control section of the converter.
3. Route a LAN cable into the closed-loop control section.
4. Route the LAN cable to the IPC.
5. Connect the LAN cable to interface "X1 P1" of the IPC.

NOTICE
Maintain the bending radius
The LAN cable can be damaged if the bending radius of the LAN cable is too small, or the
LAN cable is routed over sharp edges.
• Carefully route the LAN cable so that it does not come into contact with any sharp edges.
• Maintain the permissible bending radius of the LAN cable.
