External cleaning
The following procedure contains routine instructions for cleaning the exterior of the
Module.
•
Remove grease, fungus and ground-in dirt from surfaces with soft lint-free cloth
dampened (not soaked) with isopropyl alcohol.
•
Remove dust and dirt from connectors with soft-bristled brush.
Firmware/Software updates
The mA-3011 is shipped from the factory with the Linux operating system installed in the
module. The version of the Linux operating system installed in the mA-3011 at time of
shipment has been tested and verified to operate in the mA-3011 and AXIe Chassis. VIAVI
does not recommend updating the module's operating system unless the update is posted
on the CMP product webpage.

version of software, firmware and/or drivers.
Regular checks should be performed to ensure the following:
•
mA-3011 contains the most current firmware/software.
•
AXIe Chassis contains the most current firmware/software.
NOTE
The procedures in this section describe how to use the AXIe Web Browser UI to update
the mA-3011 operating system: refer to Chassis user documentation for instructions for
updating Chassis software.
