Unpack the equipment from the shipping cartons. Refer to the packing lists
and verify that all items are present. Save the packing material for storing
and reshipping of equipment.
Avoid touching areas of integrated circuitry; static discharge can damage

Preparing the MVME2300 Hardware

To produce the desired configuration and ensure proper operation of the
module, you may need to carry out certain modifications before and after
installation.
The following paragraphs discuss the preparation of the MVME2300
hardware components prior to installing them into a chassis and
connecting them.

MVME2300

The MVME2300 provides software control over most options. By setting
bits in control registers after installing the module, you can modify its
configuration. The MVME2300 control registers are briefly described in
Chapter 4,

If the shipping cartons are damaged upon receipt, request that the
carrier's agent be present during the unpacking and inspection of
the equipment.
