Note Do not touch the new lamp with your bare fingers. Oils from your skin will
stick to the glass and can cause damage to it when the lamp envelope reaches
operating temperature.
8. Use a laboratory tissue to grasp the new lamp.
9. Press the pins of the new lamp straight down into the holes in the ceramic lamp base.
10. Turn the metal bracket that holds the top of the lamp back into position over the lamp
and re-tighten the long brass thumb screw that holds it in place.
Take care not to touch the lamp glass with your bare fingers while performing this
operation.
