4. Once loose, lift up the screw to disengage the lamp base-plate from the lamp housing.
5. Gently pull the lamp base-plate towards the long edge of the instrument base-plate and
turn it over.
You can withdraw approximately 4 cm of cable from the instrument to allow room to
work.
6. Loosen the tall brass thumb screw to the point where the metal bracket that holds the top
of the lamp can be turned to the side to allow the lamp to be removed.
7. Grasp the old lamp with your fingers and pull it straight up and away from the base.
Discard the old lamp.
