Attaching each mounting bracket to the G250

The G250 is held in place by mounting screws through the two mounting ears. To avoid
balancing problems and cabling complications, the racks should be filled from the bottom; that
is, mount units in the lower positions first.
1. Position a bracket over the desired mounting position.
2. Affix the bracket to the chassis with three of the nine 6-32 x 3/8 screws provided.
3. Tighten with a screwdriver.

Before mounting the G250

Ensure that the rack is bolted to the floor and is earthquake-protected, if required. If the
rack is not securely fixed in place, do not proceed with the installation.
If the G250 is being mounted in a rack with other equipment already installed, the G250
must be positioned to avoid imbalance.
The G250 weighs 22 pounds (10 kg). Two people may be needed to mount the G250
Media Gateway in the rack.

Mounting the G250 in the rack

1. Position the G250 in the rack. Ensure that there is adequate ventilation.
2. Verify that the screw holes are aligned with the rack hole positions.
