2. Join the tabs on one side of the airway adapter tube onto either side of the CO
(figure 9-A), then rotate the airway adapter tube (figure 9-B) and push firmly to set the other
pair of tabs. You should hear a clicking sound as the pieces are connected together
(figure 9-C).

3. Ensure the airway adapter tube and the CO
tug on the assembly to make sure the pieces are tightly connected.
NOTE: Both sides of the airway adapter tube must be connected onto the CO
one side of the airway adapter tube is attached to the CO

sensor alarm.

The airway adapter tube attaches between the endotracheal tube of the animal and the breathing
circuit. See Figure 10 for an illustration of the configuration.
NOTE: Not all tapered connectors are compatible with the airway adapter tube. Ensure all
connections are secure.
