Identification data
Definition
Identification data is information stored in an assembly that supports the user
in:
• Checking the system configuration
• Finding hardware changes in a system
• Remedying errors / faults in a system
The identification data can be used to uniquely identify assemblies online. For
the motor starters, this data is available on the ET 200pro.
In STEP 7, the identification data is displayed in the tabs "Assembly state -
IM 154" and "Properties - DP slave".
Reading the identification data
The user can use 'Read data record' to access certain identification data specif-
ically. Two-stage access is necessary:
1. In data record 248, a directory has been stored containing the data record
numbers that correspond to the various indexes. The following table shows
the structure of data record 248.
