Data formats and data records
Statistical data device service life
• Hours of operation
The motor starter records 2 hours of operation values:
– The hours of operation of the motor,
specifying how long the motor was switched on.
– The hours of operation of the device (motor starter),
specifying how long the voltage supply DC 24 V-NS of the motor starter was
switched on.
Both hours of operation values are recorded in data record 95 – statistics. They
are entered alternately in a 5-second cycle in the data field 'Hours of operation'.
The bit 'Hours of operation selection' specifies which of the two hours of opera-
tion values has been transferred.
[0]: Hours of operation – motor
[1]: Hours of operation – device.
The hours of operation are recorded in the range from 0 to 16,777,215 minutes
in 1-minute increments.
• Number of overload trippings
The motor starter counts the number of overload trippings in the range from 0
to 65,535.
• Number of motor starts clockwise / counterclockwise
The motor starter counts the number of starts in the range from 0 to
16,777,215. Example: When the current flows in the main circuit after the
command 'Motor ON', the value is increased by 1.
• Motor current I
The motor starter measures the power in all 3 phases and displays the power
of the phase with the highest load as a [%] of the current setting I
Data format: 1 byte, 8-bit current format
Example: Current setting I
Displayed motor current 110%
Corresponds then to 60 A x 1.1 = 66 A
In data record 94, all 3 phase currents are available
• Last tripping current
The motor starter measures the power in all 3 phases and displays the power
that flowed at the time of the triggering in the phase with the highest load as
a percentage of the current setting I
Data format: 2 bytes, 9-bit current format
Example: Current setting I
Displayed motor current 455% Corresponds then to 60 A x 4.55 = 273 A
Statistical data maximum pointers
Maximum pointers are used for preventive diagnosis:
The maximum measured value is saved in the device.
The higher level PLC can pick up the measured value at any time.
The higher level PLC can delete the measured value at any time.
The following data is available as maximum pointers:
• Number of overload trippings
• Phase current I
rent setting I
Data format: 1 byte each, 8-bit current format Example:
For each phase, the measured maximum phase current is saved in each case.
