SAMPLE SCRIPT
The Gestetner F104 Series Network Printer Interface comes bundled
with print drivers that allow settings such as User ID, Layout
(1-/2-/4-/6-/9-/16-sheets per page), Page Order, Number of Copies,
Collation, Slip Sheet, Paper Selection, Resolution (300/600 dpi);
Edge Smoothing, Toner Saver, Page Protect, Watermark, and to
save paper, Duplex (2-sided) printing. Increased productivity – as
you perform everyday tasks – is only a click away.
Besides the printer memory DIMMs I mentioned, you can also upgrade
your network print function to include PostScript 2 compatibility.
The Gestetner F104L also comes bundled with Web Status Monitor,
a software utility that permits a user (from their network-connected
PC and Web browser) to check toner level, paper trays, memory
availability, fax reports and journals (transmissions/ receptions),
program Quick/Speed Dials and make changes to settings. Again,
this is done from the convenience of the desktop.
Another monitoring tool is Journal by E-mail. For F104L users, the
Journal can be automatically transmitted to a designated e-mail
address, for instance the Administrator, after 50 communications. A
CSV format Journal is attached to the e-mail, listing the Date, Time,
Name, Type [Mail, Scan, G3], Option [ECM, Extra Super Fine, etc.],
Page(s), User Name and File Number.
