• The Energy Star-compliant Gestetner F104 Series features a user-
programmable power management function that saves energy
by cooling the fuser when the machine is idle. In Energy Saving
Standby Mode your customer realizes significant reductions in
power consumption for reduced energy bills.
• User-selectable Toner Saver Mode can save up to 50% on toner, for reduced operating costs,
by lightening the image density, without sacrificing output quality.
• A Toner Cartridge and Photoconductor Unit provide
long life and low cost per copy. The toner yields
5,000 pages at 4% image density. The Photoconductor
Unit (PCU) yields 45,000 pages. In addition, an ADF
Maintenance Kit is available to further reduce mainte-
nance costs and minimize down time.
• To block printing of unwanted faxes, Authorized Reception will only allow reception of
messages from specified senders or will block reception from specified senders. If a fax
machine other than those the user specifies tries to send a fax, the line is disconnected
immediately. This eliminates junk fax, conserves supplies...saving money.
• The Gestetner F104 Series offers 2-in-1 Reception,
a feature that combines two pages of an incoming
fax message to print on one sheet of paper. This
reduces the volume of paper while further cutting
paper and toner expenses.
• If customers wish to conserve consumables, or prevent passersby from using the Gestetner
F104 Series as a copier, the Copy function can be disabled.
• Through a feature called AI Short Protocol, the Gestetner F104 Series employs Artificial
Intelligence to learn the protocol characteristics of machines programmed in Quick and Speed
Dials, helping to lower phone line costs when communicating between Gestetner machines.
• Gestetner's Remote Diagnostic System allows service representatives to perform various
diagnostic tasks and setting changes over the telephone line, reducing operating costs by
eliminating unnecessary service calls and increasing uptime. Minimal disruption to workflow
also means greater productivity.
