After starting the motor, carry out a test
run and check the following functions:
– Braking of the parking brake (16) and
the slow travel / brake pedal (20).
– Test the motor speed with the
accelerator pedal (21) over a range of
speeds while checking the ease of
movement of the pedal.
– Test the operation of the raise/lower
(25), tilt (24) and if necessary
attachment hydraulic control func-
tions.
– Turn the steering wheel (17) as far as
it will go in both directions and test the
steering.

Do not run up the motor in idle. The
motor soon reaches operating tempera-
ture at a moderate charge and when the
speed alternates.
Only fully charge the motor when the
motor coolant temperature display (10)
shows operating temperature.
The truck is ready for operation once all
the functional controls have been
satisfactorily performed and operating
temperature is reached.
