Chapter 2: Configuring the System

Installation Overview

1. Register your system at https://www.avaya.com/quickregistration.
2. Connect the first Quick Edition telephone to the LAN.
3. Choose a system language.
4. Enter a site name for the network.
5. Enter and confirm an administration password.
6. Enter a user name for the telephone.
7. Connect additional devices to the LAN.

Accessing System Options

To access system options through the web-based administration interface, a computer with a
web browser must be connected to the same network address space as your telephones.

CAUTION:
Password protection will prevent unauthorized users from changing system

To access options using the web-based administration interface
To log in to the web-based System Options interface, use the IP address of any telephone listed
in the Corporate directory as the Uniform Resource Locator (URL) in your web browser. To
determine the IP address of a telephone, press the # key and then the PAGE RIGHT (
button.
The password that you enter to log in is encrypted before the information is sent to the system.
