Configuring PIM and PIM6
Note If you are familiar with the Cisco IOS CLI, be aware that the Cisco NX-OS commands for this feature might
differ from the Cisco IOS commands that you would use.

Enabling the PIM and PIM6 Features

Before you can access the PIM or PIM6 commands, you must enable the PIM or PIM6 feature.

Ensure that you have installed the Enterprise Services license.

Enabling the PIM and PIM6 Features
Purpose
Enters global configuration mode.
Enables PIM. By default, PIM is disabled.
Enables PIM6. By default, PIM6 is disabled.
(Optional) Shows the running-configuration
information for PIM, including the feature
command.
(Optional) Shows the running-configuration
information for PIM6, including the feature
command.
(Optional) Saves configuration changes.
