The CK1 continues to boot. The Intermec logo screen appears,
followed by the MCL logo screen. Finally, the CK1 automatically
launches your main application.
This screen shows the MCL demo, a

Note: The user's manual incorrectly shows the top level screen
(shown in "Entering the System Setting Screen" later in this
document) as the screen that appears when the CK1 finishes
booting. Due to a firmware upgrade, the CK1 now bypasses that
screen and automatically launches your main application.
Responding to the "Keep Ramdisk?" Prompt
The "Keep Ramdisk?" prompt lets you save any data held on the
RAM disk, preventing the RAM disk from being formatted as usual
during the boot process. This prompt appears in four situations:
• When you turn on the CK1 for the first time
• When you turn on the CK1 after losing battery power
• When you hard reset the CK1
• When you cold boot the CK1
Note: You "cold boot" the CK1 by performing these steps:
Turn off the CK1. Hold 5 down while you press and release
Power. The red light turns on. Release 5. Press and release F1.
Press and release 2. Press Power. The CK1 cold boots.
keys to move
You press F1 only if the CK1 application locked up and you need to
recover any data held on the RAM disk. In that situation, you cold
boot or hard reset the CK1 and then press F1 when you see the
"Keep Ramdisk?" prompt.
Every other time you see the "Keep Ramdisk?" prompt, you do not
press F1 because there is no reason to save the data held on the RAM
disk. By pressing any key except F1, you allow the CK1 to format the
RAM disk.
Entering the System Setting Screen
You configure CK1 features, such as the date and time, from the
System Setting screen.
The user's manual (page 24) describes how to enter the System
Setting screen. All the steps in that procedure are correct, except for
Step 1. Perform the following steps instead of Step 1.
To enter the System Setting screen
1 Turn on the CK1. When the CK1 finishes booting, it launches
your main application, as described in "Turning on the CK1."
2 Press 9 to select Exit. Or use the
