Saving Changes and Exiting the System Setting Screen
The user's manual (page 39) incorrectly describes how to save your
changes and exit the System Setting screen. Specifically, the manual
directs you to press the S1 and Esc keys simultaneously, when you
should press and release S1 and then press and release Esc.
To save (or discard) changes and exit the System Setting screen
1 Make your changes in a screen, such as the Time screen.
2 To save your changes, press Enter to return to the System Setting
screen. (To discard your changes, press S1 and then Esc to return
to the System Setting screen.)
3 Make sure the Lock area is blank.
If there is an L or U in the Lock area,
press Lock to clear the L or U.
4 Press S1 and then Esc to return to
the Setup screen.
5 Press S1 and then Esc to return to
the top level screen (shown in the
previous section).
Your changes are now saved to
memory. If you want to return to
your MCL application, use the
key to select the MCL icon and press
Enter.

New Information About the CK1
This document explains four tasks that have changed since the CK1
Handheld Computer User's Manual (P/N 073769-001) was printed:
• What happens when you turn on the CK1
• How to respond to the "Keep Ramdisk?" prompt
• How to enter the System Setting screen
• How to save changes and exit the System Setting screen
Place this document inside your copy of the user's manual.
Turning on the CK1
Follow these steps to turn on the CK1.
To turn on the CK1
1 Press the Power key to turn on
the CK1.
2 If the "Keep Ramdisk?"
prompt appears, do not press
F1. Press any other key.
You press F1 only if you
rebooted because the CK1
application locked up and you
need to recover lost data. For
details, see the next section,
"Responding to the 'Keep
Ramdisk?' Prompt."
The screen clears and remains
blank for about 30 seconds
while the CK1 formats the
RAM disk. The message
"RAMDISK created" appears.
