Overview of messages and symbols

Convention
In this section, "message" is used as a general term for all information that is shown on the
digital display. In particular, messages include the following:
● Alarm messages
● Fault indications
● Status information
Display behavior on local user interface
Messages are shown in the measured value view of the display.
The display presents an active diagnostic message as a combination of symbol and text.
The symbol indicates the type and the severity of the diagnostic message.
The following picture shows an example of how the device outputs messages:
If several diagnostic messages are active at the same time, the one that is shown is always
the most serious. A symbol and the associated text are shown. After this, "more faults" is
shown. You can view all errors in the submenu "3.1 Alarm list" (Page 123).
Characteristics of messages
The following table summarizes the possible types of messages in an overview. The number
of dots assigned to the symbol defines the importance level of the message.
