Customizing Your Phone

This section explains how to customize your phone so that it is unique to you. Basic customizations include
changing the time and date format and updating the screen brightness.

Set the Language

Your phone supports several languages that you can choose to display. Check with your system administrator
to find out which languages are supported on your phone.

1 Navigate to Settings > Basic > Preferences > Language.
2 From the Language screen, select a language. The language on your phone updates automatically.

Change the Time and Date Format

You can customize the time and date by choosing between a variety of time and date formats, including
options to display the day, month, or year.
The time and date display in the status bar. When your phone cannot obtain a time and date, the time and
date display flashes. If this happens, or if the time and date are incorrect, contact your system administrator.
The following figure shows the default format for the time and date.

1 Navigate to Settings > Basic > Preferences > Time & Date.
2 From the Time & Date screen, do one of the following:
 Select Clock Date to change the date format.
 Select Clock Time to change the time format.
3 From the Clock Date, Clock Time, or Clock Order screen, select the format you want.

Disable the Time and Date Display

You can turn off the time and date display so that they do not display at all. T
1 Navigate to Settings > Basic > Preferences > Time & Date.
2 From the Time & Date screen, select Disable to turn off the time and date display.

Backlight Intensity and Timeout

Your phone's backlight has the following components:
Backlight Intensity
Backlight Timeout
The brightness of the screen during phone activity and inactivity.
The number of seconds the phone is inactive before the backlight dims to its
