Making Phone Calls at the Machine

You can make and receive calls using the machine's handset or the
speakerphone.

If calls come in on both lines simultaneously and you answer with the
machine's handset, the call that came in first will be answered.
Making a phone call

Pick up the handset or press

If the display at right appears, press
to select line 1 or
line 2.
(If the display at right does not appear,
go directly to Step 3.)

Wait until you hear the dial tone and then dial the number.

If you pressed
with the other party.

When you are ready to end the call, replace the handset. If you used the
speakerphone, press
Putting a call on hold
To put the other party on hold during a phone conversation, press
When this is done, they cannot hear you. You can put the handset back in the
cradle without breaking the connection. When you are ready to speak with the
other party again, pick up the handset. If you did not put the handset back in
the cradle, press

to select
SPEAKER
, speak toward "MIC" on the operation panel to talk
