Select Splice Program and Set Splice Parameters

The splice program selection menu is shown in the next figures. Users
can choose from the 40 factory preset groups of splice program and set
up and store their own 80 groups of splice program.
Splice Menu Description

Fibre type
Set according to the type of fibre used such as SM (single mode),
MM
dispersion shifted). Each fibre type can have up to 30 fusion splice
pre-set programs. Other available fibre types are BIF (Bend
Insensitive
(Erbium Doped Fibre) and G.657B3 (Bend Insensitive Single-Mode
fibres).
