By pressing the Delete key, the previous icon closest to the cursor is deleted. The Delete key
has an automatic repeat property when the key is held pressed. Note that the key retains its
delete function regardless of the mode of the alphanumeric keypad.
5.1.5

Cancel / Esc key

In general, the Cancel / Esc key cancels the selection or the currently running operation like
an Esc key on a conventional PC keyboard.
5.1.6

Scan key

Pressing the Scan key enables the scan function of the reader. All the transponders in the
antenna field are scanned and displayed.
5.1.7

F / mode key

The key is a selection key with several modes. Using the "F / Mode" key, alphanumeric keys
can be changed to numeric or alphabetic and numeric keys. The key also serves to change
between uppercase and lowercase writing. In addition to this, the numeric keys operate as
function keys and the Tab / Alt key as an Alt key.
To use the "F" function of the key, this needs to be pressed once. To change the mode, the
key needs to be pressed twice in succession. Note that the "F" function of the key is not
coupled with the "mode" function. After pressing the key once, the numeric keys operate as
function keys regardless of the mode of the alphanumeric keypad.
The function of the key is explained in greater detail along with the particular key or keys that
can be controlled with the F / Mode key.
