Operation
5.1 The keypad
The mode of the alphanumeric keypad can be changed by pressing the F / Mode key twice
in succession. The mode of the alphanumeric keypad is changed in the following order:
1. From the numeric mode to the lowercase mode
2. From the lowercase world to the uppercase mode
3. From the uppercase mode back to the numeric mode
Alphanumeric keys in the numeric mode
As default, the alphanumeric keypad is in numeric mode; in other words, when a key is
pressed only numbers are entered. In this mode, holding down the key enters the number
until the key is released (automatic repeat).
Function keys
On the keypad of the RF650M mobile reader there are the function keys F1 to F10. After
pressing the F / Mode key (the "F" function of the key), every numeric key operates as the
function key with the corresponding number. If, for example, the F / Mode key and the "4"
key are pressed one after the other, this corresponds to pressing the "F4" key on a PC
keyboard. Note that F10 is activated after pressing the "F / Mode" and "0" keys one after the
other. The function keys can be accessed regardless of the mode of the alphanumeric
keypad.
