REPLACING THE TAPE CUTTER KNIVES
Swing-off the end cover.
Remove the presser foot for replacing the upper knife on styles
80800U, UA, UL and UAL and for replacing the lower knife,
additionally the throat plate.
The upper knife on styles 80800TL and TAL can be replaced
directly. For replacing the lower knife remove both presser foot
parts, the throat plate and the cloth plate and loosen the cutter
plate.
Make sure, especially when mounting resharpened knives, that
the cutting edges overlap approx. 0.3 mm (.012") in cutting
position. Recheck the shear angle, if necessary.
Swing-in end cover and remount the parts removed.
TAPE FOLDER FOR STYLES 80800U AND UL
Take out the tape folder with fastening parts from the machine
accessories and assemble it as shown on page 50. The folder
has to be aligned with the support rods to the top surface of
throat plate. The height should be adjusted so, that the tape fully
covers the bag opening and the seam is located in the lower
third of the tape (see Fig. 23).
The folder can be adjusted for tape widths from 50 to 70 mm (1
31/32 to 2 3/4"). Set the guides so, that the bag opening will be
equally bound.
Assemble the tape reel as shown on page 50.
ADHESIVE TAPE FOLDER FOR STYLES 80800TL AND TAL
The adhesive tape folder (A, Fig. 24) has to be assembled so,
that it fits close to the bevelling of the cut-out in the throat plate
(see Dig. 24). The inner lower edge of the folder mouth (B) must
be flush with the top surface of throat plate, and set as far to the
left in the throat plate cut-out so the adhesive tape will fully cover
the closed bag opening. The folder bracket and the folder can
be set accordingly after loosening screws (C and D, Fig. 24)
Retighten screws.
Assemble the tape reel as shown on page 50.
Assemble the guide rollers for the adhesive tape and the bag
guide rail as shown on page 52. Set the collars (E, Fig. 24A) on
the front guide roller and the collars (F) on the folder to the width
of the used adhesive tape. Insert the adhesive tape as shown in
Fig. 24A.

Abra la tapa frontal.
Quite el pie para cambiar las cuchillas superiores en la maquinas 80800U,
UA, UL y UAL y para cambiar la cuchillas inferiores adicionalmente la
placa de la aguja.
La cuchilla superior en las máquinas 80800TL y TAL puede ser cambiada
directamente. Para cambiar la cuchilla inferior, remueva ambas partes
del pie, la placa de la aguja, la tapa principal y el soporte del cortador.
Asegúrese, especialmente con cuchillas afiladas recientemente, que los
bordes cortantes solapan aprox. 0.3 mm (.012") en posición de corte.
Revise el ángulo de la cuchilla si hace falta.
Cierre la tapa final y coloque de nuevo las piezas que removió.
DOBLADILLADOR PARA MAQUINAS 80800U Y UL
Busque el dobladillador con la piezas para fijarlo de los accesorios de la
maquina y móntelo como se ve en la pagina 50. El dobladillador tiene que
ser alineado con los soportes hacia la superficie de la placa de la aguja.
La altura tiene que ser ajustada para que la cinta cubra completamente la
boca del saco y la costura este ubicada en el tercio inferior de la cinta
(vea Fig. 23).
El dobladillador se puede ajustar para cintas con un ancho desde 50 a 70
mm (1 31/32 a 2 ¾"). Ajuste las guías para que la cinta se coloque
uniformemente sobre la boca del saco.
Monte el porta-cinta como se demuestra en la pagina 50.
DOBLADILLADOR PARA CINTA ADHESIVA PARA MAQUINAS
80800TL Y TAL
Coloque el dobladillador para la cinta adhesiva en tal manera para que
cuadre con el sacado de la placa de la aguja (Fig. 24). El borde interior
inferior de la boca (B) del dobladillador tiene que estar al ras con la
superficie de la placa de la aguja y puesto en forma tal a la izquierda del
sacado en la placa de la aguja para que la cinta adhesiva cubra
completamente la boca cerrada del saco. El soporte del dobladillador y el
dobladillador pueden ser ajustados después de aflojar los tornillos (C y
D, Fig. 24). Apriete los tornillos otra vez.
Monte el porta-cinta como se demuestra en la pagina 50.
Monte los rodillos de guia para la cinta adhesiva y el riel de guía para los
sacos como se ve en pagina 52. Ajuste los anillos (E, Fig. 24A) en el
rodillo de guía frontal y los anillos (F) en el dobladillador al ancho de la
cinta adhesiva que esta utilizando. Inserte la cinta adhesiva como se ve
en Fig. 24A.
