PTO SElECTION lEvER

(1) pto selection lever

(a) independent pto
(b) ground speed pto
you can select independent pto
operation or ground speed (by trans-
mission speed ratio) pto.
to select an operating mode; stop
the tractor completely, reduce the en-
gine speed to idle, turn pto switch
to "oFF" position, put all shift lever
on neutural position and now select
the pto operating mode.

INDEPENDENT PTO
the independent pto mode is used
for normal pto operations. it op-
erates continuously at a constant
speed, independent of the transmis-
sion speed selections. the pto
shaft turns in a clockwise direction.
(as viewed from the rear of the trac-
tor)
GROuND SPEED PTO

the pto speed will be proportional
to the tractor speed. the pto shaft
will stop when the tractor is stopped.
it is important to note the pto shaft
will rotate in the opposite direction
when the tractor is in reverse.

Make sure to depress the clutch
pedal to its end. to start off smoothly,
put the main and range shift levers
into the proper positions and release
the clutch pedal slowly.
it is not necessary to depress the
2nd 3th
clutch pedal when shifting shuttle
