Running a Sample

Once the performance of the instrument has been confirmed to be correct by an analysis with a
control, a sample can then be analyzed. The validity of the results from an unknown sample is based
on the good performance of the instrument, as supported by the control analysis, and by the correct
preparation of the sample in question. See
sample dispersion and preparation. The steps to follow to analyze a sample are similar to those used
to analyze a control sample. SOPs can also be created to set up the analysis of a particular sample.
