The LEDs on the Tornado DPS will aid you in troubleshooting the module. Refer to figure 1 for a
description of the function of each LED.
Module not responding

• Module docked incorrectly (LEDs will not light).
— Eject module and re-dock.
— Apply slight pressure on the front of module while docking.
If LEDs turn on, check cable from optical bench to the computer.
• Check that vacuum is plugged-in.
• Check that vacuum remote power switch is in the ON position.
• Check that remote power switch cable is connected to the optical
bench.
• Check that the vacuum limits are set properly (Administrator only).
• Check that sample tubing is not plugged.
• Power instrument down and back up. If error light is still red, call
service.
• Dirty windows. Clean all the windows.
