• Black or highly pigmented materials, metallic particles, carbon black (imaginary values for
metals are similar in magnitude as the refractive index) - 1 to 10

cases when the wavelength dependence of the refractive index is large, such as with colored
pigments and toners.

Creating an Optical Model

To make an optical model:
