1.

Intended use

This product is a telematics unit and will be referred to as a
CCU-Modul (connectivity control unit) in the following. The
CCU-Modul is an aftermarket device with an operating voltage
of 12 V for passenger cars of various makes. The CCU-Modul
is connected to the vehicle by plugging the included cable
into the OBD port or by using an adapted cable (optional) for
12-V-only power supply. The CCU-Modul is for installation in
the vehicle interior. The CCU-Modul is equipped with a variety
of sensors that work independently of the vehicle and can use
the OBD port to read comprehensive diagnostic information
and vehicle data concerning the vehicle. Use for any other
purpose than the one described above is not permissible.

The CCU-Modul may only be installed in a vehicle after
prior approval of the vehicle owner and the service
provider.

Legal requirements

The CCU-Modul conforms with the legal requirements of the
following guidelines:

Automotive Electromagnetic Compatibility Directive
for vehicles – UN ECE R10 (see the rating plate for the
revision of this directive).
R
Radio Equipment Directive RED 2014/53/EU.

Safety Instructions

It is absolutely vital to observe all the instructions
regarding installation of the CCU-Modul in the vehicle,
connecting the two-wire connection cable with the
CCU-Modul and the vehicle as well as tests and
troubleshooting!

Improper installation can lead to damage to the CCU-Modul
or vehicle.
!
GPRS may interfere with sensitive electronics.
The CCU-Modul may not be opened or changed in any way. If
the CCU-Modul is opened or damaged, liability for material
defects will be void.
The CCU-Modul must only be plugged into a 12-V voltage
supply.
The CCU-Modul may only be installed in a vehicle by a repair
shop authorized by the service provider or a service partner
in accordance with the instructions.
The installation position may only be changed by a repair
shop authorized by the service provider or a service partner.
The CCU-Modul and its connection cable may only be
removed or replaced by a repair shop authorized by the
service provider or a service partner.
The CCU-Modul must be connected to the vehicle's OBD
interface or voltage supply.
Exchanging the CCU-Modul between vehicles is not
permitted.
Do not twist or bend the housing of the CCU-Modul and
make sure that the housing is not put under stress during
installation.

The OBD connection cable may be unplugged for a short
time for service purposes (such as OBD diagnosis and
reading DTCs).
