Chapter 4 Management Via SNMP
Optical Receiver Table
saFnOpticalReceiverTable consists of four elements: the index
saFnOpticalReceiverIndex, saFnOpticalReceiverSlot,
saFnOpticalReceiverHiPwrLimit and saFnOpticalReceiverLoPwrLimit. As
mentioned, this table uses GS7000 Node numbering conventions for the receivers.
The following table shows legacy numbering conventions and slot numbers side-by-
side.

Also, in previous versions of the GS7000, transponder core "mount" and "unmount"
could be set. With transponder core image revision OHN_3.00.03 or greater, "mount"
means that a receiver is present and "unmount" means that a receiver is not installed.
An attempt to change the value of this OID from "mount" or "unmount" or vice-
versa has no effect on the module.
Switching thresholds for receivers can be changed by editing the
saFnOpticalReceiverHiPwrLimit or saFnOpticalReceiverLoPwrLimit. The default
maximum value is 1.7 milliwatts, entered as 170 for
saFnOpticalReceiverHiPwrLimit. Therefore, values lower than this maximum value
can be entered. The default minimum value is 0.5 milliwatts entered as 50 for
saFnOpticalReceiverLoPwrLimit. Therefore, values higher than this minimum value
can be entered. These limits also may be changed through the analog properties
table found in SCTE-HMS-PROPERTY-MIB.

The forward segmentation mode matches the configured Forward Configuration
Module (FCM) type. Refer to the ViewPort software application for more
information about configuring the FCM.
