HMS MIB Specifications
heOpSwitchControl - Although there are several values shown in the HMS MIB,
only PathA(1) or PathB(2) are valid for this optical switch.
OID 1.3.6.1.4.1.5591.1.11.1.4.1.1.1.1.2
heOpSwitchRevertEnable - This OID can be set to off(1), on(2), or meaningless(3).
When heOpSwitchMode is in automatic(1) this allows the switch to revert to the
primary path if the optical power returns to a valid level following a power loss on
the primary path. In manual mode, setting the heOpSwitchRevertEnable has no
effect on the module.
OID 1.3.6.1.4.1.5591.1.11.1.4.1.1.1.1.3
heOpSwitchState - Although there are several values shown in the HMS MIB, only
PathA(1) or PathB(2) are valid for this optical switch.
OID 1.3.6.1.4.1.5591.1.11.1.4.1.1.1.1.4
heOpSwitchFailoverStatus - According to the HMS MIB this value is based on "The
integral status of both inputs. A value is fault (2), if current switch state
heOpSwitchState is different than the preferred setting heOpSwitchControl;
otherwise, it is normal." In this implementation, the value of
heOpSwitchFailoverStatus is the same as "No Switch" on the ViewPort software.
OID 1.3.6.1.4.1.5591.1.11.1.4.1.1.1.1.5
heOpSwitchBothInputStatus - The HMS MIB states that this is "The integral status
of both inputs. A value is fault (2), if both input levels are below the nominal value.
Otherwise, it is normal."
OID 1.3.6.1.4.1.5591.1.11.1.4.1.1.1.1.6
heOpSwitchSelectWavelength - The wavelength in the GS7000 optical switch is
always 155000 (1550 nm). Although this field has read-write access in the HMS MIB,
the value will not change from 155000.
OID 1.3.6.1.4.1.5591.1.11.1.4.1.1.1.1.7
heOpSwitchHysteresis - This OID contains the value in (0.1 dB units) above which
the input optical power must rise for the switch to begin the
heOpSwitchWaitToRestoreTime prior to restoring the primary switch position. The
hysteresis must be changed in 0.1 dB increments. This only applies if
heOpSwitchRevertEnable is set to on(2) and heOpSwitchMode is set to
automatic(1).
OID 1.3.6.1.4.1.5591.1.11.1.4.1.1.1.1.8
heOpSwitchWaitToRestoreTime - This element controls the hysteresis time in
seconds. The valid range is 0 to 600 seconds. The HMS MIB states, "If in automatic
switching mode and revert mode is enabled, a switch back to the original side will
be delayed for the time specified by this object."
OID 1.3.6.1.4.1.5591.1.11.1.4.1.1.1.1.9
