16.1.4 Sleep Timeout

In idle, the display is automatically turned off after a specified time.

In the Settings app, tap Display, and then tap Sleep timeout.
2 Choose a sleep timeout for the handset.
TIP: For the longest battery time between charges, use the shortest convenient sleep timeout.

16.1.5 Rotate Top Display

The text on the top display can be rotated. If rotation is off (default) the text on the top display is
readable when the front of the handset is facing the user. Select on, if the handset is carried
with the front away from the body.

In the Settings app, tap Display, and then tap Rotate top display.
2 Set the rotation to On, or to Off.

16.2 Sound Settings

Sound settings such as volume and ringtones.

16.2.1 Volumes

In the Settings app, tap Sounds, and then tap Volumes.
2 Tap one of the following sound types:
Music & video
Ringtones & notifications
Reminders
3 Drag the slider to change the volume.

16.2.2 Ringtones

In the Settings app, tap Sounds, and then tap Ringtones.
2 Select a ringtone.

16.2.3 Notification Sound

NOTE: The notification sound setting does not affect the sounds used for alerts,
warnings, or conversation messages.

In the Settings app, tap Sounds, and then tap Notification sound.
2 Select a notification sound.

16.2.4 Set Tones

In the Settings app, tap Sounds.
2 Select one, or several, of the following check boxes to enable vibration, or tones:
Vibrate when ringing
Dial pad touch tones
Touch sound
Screen lock sound
