CONTROLS
It is essential that the fire has an adequate air supply for combustion and ventilation. Apertures provided for this purpose shall not be
restricted.
This model has different air inlets which function as follows:
1.1
PRIMARY AIR CONTROL
In Bristol model the primary air intake is situated below the insert door, nevertheless, in model Bristol-V, this control is placed on the bottom
of the frontal, under the door; in both cases, it controls the intake of air to the fuel via the grate and the ash pan. The primary air intake is
essential for keeping the fire alight and the ash pan must be cleaned regularly.
For installing the insert in a "Smokelless Areas" it is compulsory to replace the sheet of the primary air regulation which is supplied optionally
so that, even when the regulation is completely closed, a primary air inlet of at least 25% is obtained.
