Appliance Setup

A. Remove Fixed Glass Assembly
See Section 15.K.
B. Remove the Shipping Materials
Remove shipping materials from inside or underneath the
fi rebox.
C. Clean the Appliance
Clean/vacuum any sawdust that may have accumulated
inside the fi rebox or underneath in the control cavity.
D. Install the Refractory
• Remove the refractory retainer from each side of the
fi rebox.
• Put the left side refractory in place and reinstall the left
side refractory retainer.

• Install the lower back refractory.

Note: As you use the appliance, expansion and contraction
will cause minor cracking of the refractory. This is normal,
unavoidable, and will not affect the performance of the
appliance. If the cracks become large enough that the
metal behind the refractory is exposed or large pieces
fall out, the panels should be replaced.

Install the upper back refractory.

Install the right side refractory.

Slide the back refractory slightly from side to side as
necessary to close up any gaps in the corners.
Install the right side refractory retainer.
