5.7 Displaying vectors and trails

To vessel position
When the Move View To menu followed by the Ship command
is selected, the chart will be moved to vessel position. After the
display is redrawn with the vessel in center, the vessel's
movement on the display will be dependant on setting for ship
motion. Refer Ship motion, page 44.
To a selected chart
Tap the Move View To menu followed by the Chart command
to open the Move View to Chart dialog.
Select the chart that is to be drawn on the display, and confirm
by tapping OK.
To a preplanned route
When the Move View To menu is followed by the Route
command, the Move View to Route dialog will be displayed.
Selected route will be drawn on the display when OK is tapped.
Gyro vectors and the vessel's trails may be displayed to shown
the vessel's movement in the chart.
Vector symbols indicate gyro and time vectors according to
ship's log, and course/speed over ground based on information
from both primary and secondary positioning system.
Trails are based on information from positioning system, and
both primary and secondary system may be used.
It is not possible to save trails to file. If the vessel's movement
should be recorded, this is done by using the Tracking function.
