Placefoot on footpad or otherwise secureunit from movement
when pulling recoil.
When starting the engine, grasp starter grip handle (Figure
25) and pull slowly until you feel some resistance.Then pull
rapidly to start engine.
Starter cordkickback (rapid retraction)can result in
bodily injury.Kickback will pull handand arm toward
engine faster than you can let go. Broken bones,
fractures, bruises, or sprainscouldresult.
* NEVER pull startercordwithoutfirstrelieving spraygunpressure.
* Whenstartingengine, p ull cord slowlyuntil resistance is felt and
thenpull rapidly to avoidkickback.
* Aftereachstartingattempt, w hereengine failsto run,alwayspoint
spraygunin safedirection andsqueeze s prayguntriggerto release
highpressure.
Firmlygraspspraygunwith bothhandswhenusinghighpressure
sprayto avoidinjurywhenspraygunkicksback.
Returnstarter grip handleslowly. DONOTlet rope "snap back"
against starter.
