Management Features

The server modules and CSC modules (refer to Chapter 1, 3.5 and 3.6) in this server can be configured and
checked from a management terminal on the network, by using IPMI commands.
2.1.1
CSC modules
CSC modules are used to monitor and manage sensors (FAN, voltage, temperature and so on) of the chassis.
The management function provided by CSC modules is as follows.

An example for using the ipmitool command is shown below.

Checking the alert receiver
Turn on UID lamp
default setting of <interval> is 15 seconds.
Setting is "0", UID lamp turn off.

Information about items such as IP address, MAC address, and

replaceable unit (FRU

Information about items such as UID LED and time
Control the power supplied to all server modules in the chassis
in a batch and check their status.
Indicates SEL information.
Indicates sensor information.
Used to specify the alert receivers.
