10.8 Why can't I connect to a 4G network?

1. You require a 4G SIM card from your carrier's local branch. If you have changed your data
tariff, the changes will not normally take effect until the following month. Insert your SIM
card into another phone. If you still can't access 4G, then you need a replacement SIM card.
2. Check that you have enabled 4G on your phone. In your phone settings, there are three
network modes - 4G, 3G and 2G.
3. Check whether your area has 4G network coverage. Try using the SIM card in another
phone. If you still can't access 4G, contact your carrier's customer service hotline to report the
problem.
4. Make sure that your phone supports 4G networks. Phones customized for a particular
carrier usually only support the carrier's own 4G network, e.g. phones customized for China
Telecom only support China Telecom 4G networks. The secondary card slot on a dual SIM
phone only supports 2G networks.
5. In some regions (Shenzhen), your phone will not be able to register on a 4G network if you
have used up your 4G data tariff. If so, turn off 4G.
10.9 Why does my phone have no signal after I take it out
from my pocket and become normal after I restart it?
The phones using cut cards may encounter this problem. You are suggested to use a standard
SIM card.
10.10 Why can't I access 4G when using a 4G SIM card?
1. Go to Settings > Mobile Networks > Access Point Names and touch the menu button to
reset the settings to default values.
2. Check whether mobile data and 4G are enabled.
3. In order to access 4G, you also need to activate 4G services with your carrier, in addition to
purchasing a phone that supports 4G networks.
4. Check that your phone's 4G version is compatible with your SIM card.
10.11 Why is the signal unstable?
1.
2.
Make sure your SIM card is a 4G card, the 4G service is enabled, and 4G data plan is
valid.
The 4G signals may be unstable due to the limited network coverage, which is a normal
phenomenon and does not affect your calls. Check whether the signals become normal
after you disable the 4G service. You can enable the 4G service when it is required.
