Using the Secondary Operator Panel

Configuration parameters are set from the secondary operator panel or are
retrieved from the nonvolatile memory, located in the printer. The parameters
define how the printer will respond to command and interface signals from the
host computer.
The configuration menu structure consists of the main configuration menus and
the corresponding submenus, where applicable.
NOTE: Many of the selectable configurations refer to printer options or
There are two basic menu modes: user and service. The service mode allows full
access to all menu items, whereas the user mode allows access only to those
menu items that operators should be able to access. To enter either mode, the
printer must first be set to the OFFLINE status. Press the down arrow key to
begin using the configuration menus. To enter the service menus, press the
SHIFT and down arrow keys simultaneously.

Moving Within the Configuration Menu

Movement within the configuration menus is controlled by using the appropriate
arrow keys. (Refer back to
