RescueCoach™ voice prompts and text display
The RescueCoach™ voice prompts activate when the AED lid is opened and help guide the operator through the rescue. The
AED text display provides a visual display of most of the audible voice prompts.
The following tables list the voice and text prompts and a description of when the prompts are issued.
Table 3-1: Initial instructions
Voice prompt
"Stay calm. Follow these voice instructions.
Make sure 911 is called now!"
"Stay calm. Follow these voice instructions.

"Begin by exposing patient's bare chest and
torso. Remove or cut clothing if needed. "

Text display Situation
CALL 911! Plays after lid opening self test, default ON.
CALL EMERGENCY Medical Director may use MDLink to select this prompt instead of
SERVICES NOW! "CALL 911!".
MDLink also allows the emergency services and 911prompt to be
disabled.
Text display Situation
BARE PATIENT'S TORSO Prompts the rescuer to remove patient clothing.
