Another view of the PCIII USB EX and stock

of the battery (shown in Figure H and
Figure I).
9 Reinstall the ECM and ECM tray using the bolt
removed earlier.
The tray needs to fit between the battery and
the PCIII USB EX connector. This is a tight fit,
you may need to push forward on the
connectors to get the tray to fit.
10 Attach the connector from the PCIII USB EX to
the stock wiring harness as shown in Figure J.
11 Using the supplied zip tie, install the
PCIII USB EX to the frame crossover as shown
in Figure J. Route the zip tie through the hole
in the frame crossover.
12 Using the supplied zip tie, secure the
PCIII USB EX harness to the ECM as shown in
Figure J.
13 Reinstall the side cover and the seat.
14 Insert the cd provided into your computer's
cd-rom drive.
15 Follow the on-screen instructions to install the
PCIII USB EX software.
16 Visit www.powercommander.com to download
software tutorials and the latest maps.
Note: This bike has fly-by-wire throttle. Make
sure when setting the throttle position the bike
is fully warmed up. You can not set the OPEN
throttle setting in the software unless the RPM
is above 3000 RPM.
