After replacing the flushing pad, press the Z
button.

Close the maintenance cover, and then press
the Z button.

A confirmation message is displayed on the
screen. Check the content of the message, select
Yes, and then press the Z button.

Replacing the media
edge plates
When the media edge plates supplied with the printer
are deformed or damaged, be sure to replace them
with new ones.
Contact your dealer or Epson Support.

Important:
If a deformed or damaged media edge plate
continues to be used, it may result in damage to
the print head.

Replacement procedure

A
Remove media, and turn off the printer. Check
that the screen display has turned off, and then
unplug the power cable from the outlet.

Disconnect both of the power cables.

Leave the printer for a minute, and then open
the left maintenance cover and the front cover.
Maintenance
C
While holding the tabs of the media edge plate
on both sides, move the plate to the left edge of
the platen to remove it.
When replacing the right media edge plate,
remove the left side first, and then remove the
right.

Be sure to remove the media edge plate from
the left edge of the platen. If the plate is
removed from the right edge, it will drop into
"Disposal"
the printer and cause malfunction.
