The screen where you can enter the length of
the loaded media is displayed.
Use the d/u buttons to choose a length
between 1.0 and 600.0 m and press the Z
button.
Length
Range: Off,1.0 - 600.0 m
Current: 120.0 m
Done

Set the value when remaining amount of media
is printed on the roll.
Press the r button if you want to select Off.
When you select Off, the remaining amount is
not calculated.
Note:
Two functions are enabled in Remaining
Setup - On
The following two functions give you a rough idea
of the amount of media available before printing,
making it easier to know when media requires
replacement.
❏ Showing Amount of Media Remaining
The control panel display shows the
approximate amount of media remaining
based on the length set for the media and the
amount used during printing.
❏ Remaining Alert
A warning is displayed when the amount of
media remaining reaches a specified level.
The printer will display Ready after a brief pause,
showing that it is ready to print. Transmit the data to
be printed from the computer.

Follow the steps below when replacing the media.

Media Remaining is set to On)
2. Cut the media.
3. Remove the media.
Printing the Amount of Media
Remaining
By printing the remaining amount on the media being
removed, you can check this value the next time the
media is loaded and enter the media length. This is
useful for accurate management of the amount of
media remaining. The remaining amount cannot be
printed when Remaining Setup is set to Off.
The following section describes how to print the
amount of media remaining.
Buttons that are used in the following settings
A
Confirm that the printer is ready to print.
B
Press the M button, select Media Remaining,
and then press the Z button.
